Let Me Down Again!

Hey Ya’ll! Another article coming your way, and I hope the content that i’m bringing to you is helpful and useful to your everyday life. In this year 2020, I’m sure most would say, this year has been unlike any other in our lifetime. Rather your young or old, we are facing a reality never seen before. The distress in our government, the unrest in our society, and the unknown on our personal lives, is taking us to a unexplored territory. You would think that with all this chaos, it would bring us closer together. As I personally have faced, as well as heard accounts all over the internet, the truth is many people are disconnected than ever before. Of course, we are observing the ‘social distancing’ mandate that has been put on the world, but with smartphones and the internet, we should still be connected in a way that has never been so possible as before. What I am hearing and seeing all over our globe is just the opposite, disconnected and alone, and it leaves many people feeling let down, over and over, by the ones they love.

I have recently encountered this in my life and sharing my story with you in the hopes it could help in your own life. My husband and I moved 2 states away from where we lived to be closer to my family. Before the move, when we talked with my immediate family, all was well and we were connected in a way we never thought possible. After getting here, issues came up to now, we have one family member that won’t even speak to us. We have tried to work out our differences with this family member a few times, and just when we think we might be good, we are let down again by anger and harsh feelings they won’t let go of. I also have a family member that begged over and over to be closer so we could be in each other’s life everyday. After I was the one to call and reach out and go visit them, and not receiving the same, and then asking them to just please call or come see us once in a while, but still no change, I am let down. I know they love me, but after several times of sharing how it makes me feel to be the one to call them or go see them, I am disappointed over and over that there is no change. When you are the one to always be giving in a relationship but not receiving, it wears on the mind and spirit and makes you want to give up sometimes.

This is where the Scripture gives us some hope. As much as we want and desire to do so, you cannot trust any man. Psalms 118:8 reads, ‘Is is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.’ Also, Matthew 7:12 reads, ‘Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.’ As does in Luke 6:31 reads, ‘And as we would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.’ As much as we, people that get hurt and want to show the other person that hurt, we have to show them love in truth and keep doing what we are doing. The ones that we love in our lives can hurt us the most, but hold strong to the Scriptures that if you keep showing them how you want to be treated, they will eventually catch on and show you the same. It is a very humbling place to be, and pride will try to take prominence, but God will use all means for His will to be done. Keep doing what your doing, keep your faith strong, and most importantly, show the love of Christ in all you do.

God Bless You, Krisha Hall 11/8/20

This Is Not What I Pictured

Hello and thank you for meeting me here once again with an article representing my thoughts an ideas. I am a Christian, first and forth most, and all my conclusions come from the Word of God, using Scripture as my blueprint for life. We supposedly just had a new president declared, and rather it sticks or not, we are in very uneasy times. I’m sure for the majority of […]
