Greetings, Shalom, Bonjour, or Guten Tag…. whatever language you speak, pray this finds you doing well! Here I am again with another article. I am writing this the week before Christmas 2020, and as the entire world knows, this has been one of the craziest years for everyone. I don’t think with all the events that have happened over our history, that anyone could have guessed what 2020 was going to be like. Never in our lives or anyone else’s has what is happening now, happened before. We have a world wide disease, that no matter where it came from, is bringing about world change. We have a presidency, that no matter the outcome, will bring about a change. We also have a way of living, that no matter if this disease is eradicated, is forever changed. So many people are forced to be at home, isolated from the life they used to live, and people are suffering and some can’t handle these changes. People that used to be consumed with too much on their plate now find they have all the time in the world, and it is causing problems.

Now you might say that if you are feeling overwhelmed with life, that some quiet time, alone and away from it all, is just what you need. The problem is the time away is becoming more long term and some don’t know how to function outside of that chaos. Some people strive on that fast pace of life and to have it all stripped away, causes depression and anxiety. Socially active people can’t connect like they used to, even through the internet, and suicide is on the rise. Children can’t spend time with their friends like they were, and even behavioral issues are becoming more prominent. Our world has evolved to the point that to separate us and keep people home, is causing more harm than good. Those that are extroverts and those that are gregarious need some hope and you might ask, how do I give hope when the entire world is effected by this and no one knows how it will all turn out.

We do have answers on what to do and we have hope we can share with others. The Bible, loaded with scriptures, tells us how we can deal with all this time we have been given. First in Ecclesiastes 3:1 it reads ‘To every [thing there is] a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.’ This isn’t going to last forever, and we have to be thankful for these times as well as the better times to know God is always working on our behalf. In Psalm 90:12 it reads, ‘So teach [us] to number our days, that we may apply [our] hearts unto wisdom.’ Also, in Psalm 31:15 it reads, ‘My times [are] in thy hand: deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me.’ God is in control of the timeline and in James 4:14 it reads ‘Whereas ye know not what [shall be] on the morrow. For what [is] your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.’

Wherever we are, home by our self or back with in our social groups, God is in control and His work is being done. We have no idea what tomorrow will bring or if we will be here to experience it, so you have to be blessed to be where you are right now. If you feel you have too much time on your hands, find something to do that will bless others and yourself. To talk on the phone or share your time with someone else that is feeling isolated blesses them but then you find you are blessed as well. We don’t have to be face to face to do these things and through prayer, God will show you how you can connect to others and fulfill your purpose. We all need love and to feel not alone. If you have been given too much time and don’t know how to fill it, connect with God first and He will direct you on how to connect with others.

God Bless You, Krisha Hall 12/14/20

You Are….Guilty!

Well, here we are in the Christmas season. I hope this finds you blessed and surrounded by those you love, in spite of these turbulent times we live in. No one could have guessed what 2020 was going to turn out to be and it definitely has put things into perspective. As this season sets upon us all, I find myself reminiscing about life and situations that have happened over […]
